On Friday, 12 September 2025, Macau Daily Times ran the news: Hong Kong’s OnPoint would perform at the 2025 France Macau Chamber of Commerce (FMCC) Charity Gala Dinner on 19 September, in the Grand Ballroom of MGM Macau.

The gala was themed “Voyage on the Seine” and brought together fine dining, networking, and entertainment. Proceeds from the evening supported Macau Special Olympics and Zhuhai Autism Society.

A charity gala asks a lot of a band. The music has to sit gracefully under dinner and speeches, then fill the dance floor the moment the formalities are done. Our mix of pop, rock, jazz, and funk is built for exactly that kind of night, whether the venue is a hotel ballroom in Hong Kong or across the water in Macau.

Planning a Gala or Charity Dinner? Here’s How to Book OnPoint

Booking a live band sounds complicated. We decided long ago that booking OnPoint should be the easiest part of planning your event, so we boiled it down to five simple steps.

Step 1: Say Hello

Reach out however you like: WhatsApp, email, our contact form, or a phone call. Tell us your date and we’ll check the calendar. If we’re free, you’ll receive our price list. If we’re booked, we’ll tell you honestly and help you find another band.

Step 2: Choose Your OnPoint

• OnPoint 6-Piece, our flagship: female and male vocalists, double keyboards, guitar, bass, concert-grade electronic drums, and a saxophone player.
• OnPoint 5-Piece, our most popular option: everything above, minus the sax.
• OnPoint 4-Piece, for intimate venues or tighter budgets: female and male vocalists, double keyboards, guitar, and sax, powered by our custom-produced beats.
• The OnPoint Trio: female and male vocalists, double keyboards, and guitar, with our custom beats. Perfect for cocktail receptions and smaller venues.

We recommend the 5- or 6-piece for the full OnPoint experience. Need something more bespoke? Just ask.

Step 3: Tell Us About Your Event

Share your venue, start and end times, the occasion, your crowd (age range, cultural background, and whether Po Po will dance), and the songs and styles you’d love to hear. The more we know, the better we play.

Step 4: The Agreement

We prepare a clear, straightforward agreement for both parties to review. No fine-print ambushes, no surprises.

Step 5: Deposit = Confirmed

A deposit locks in your date, and OnPoint is officially yours.

• Extra 30 or 45-minute set, because the best parties always run long anyway.
• DJ FuNkFuRy, our resident DJ, for when the band takes a breather and the dance floor refuses to.
• Second setup in another area: cocktail hour by the pool, main stage in the ballroom.
